The Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP) is funded by the USDA and delivered by the University of Tennessee. This program is designed to make nutrition education accessible to everyone in Fentress County and across the state of Tennessee at no cost to participants. Participants in these programs receive valuable information about nutrition, food safety, meal planning, grocery budgeting and so much more. This program also provides affordable and healthy recipes for the whole family, advise for picky eaters and tips for saving money at the store.

The mission of the Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP) is to empower limited resource families to reduce the risk of poor nutrition and to effectively use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and related resources while moving toward self-sufficiency.
