Adults

Eat Well Feel Well

A series of four to eight workshops for adults ages 60+

Eat Well Feel Well Cover Image

Eat Well, Feel Well consists of eight hands-on activities to teach older adults nutrition,
physical activity, food safety and food preparation techniques. It is designed to meet the
unique needs of older adults with limited resources, especially those residing in senior
subsidized housing units or those who regularly participate in their local senior center events.
However, the content could be applicable to older adults in other settings.
Each lesson is designed to last approximately 20-30 minutes. This curriculum can be
delivered as part of a eight-lesson series or each lesson can be delivered individually
depending on the needs of your audience.

Eating Smart at Home Flyer

Eating Smart at Home was developed by North Carolina Cooperative Extension EFNEPT in partnership with the North Carolina Division of Public Health, Nutrition Services Branch and Community and Clinical Connections for Prevention and Health Branch. It consists of eight to ten sessions and can be administered in 30 minute, 45- 60 minute or 90 minute to two hour deliveries.

We Can! Energize Our Families

A series of four workshops for parents and caregivers

We Can! Energize Our Families consists of four 90 minute- 2 hour hands-on workshops for parents and caregivers. It was developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health in conjunction with National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and National Cancer Institute to help parents and caregivers to encourage a healthy weight for everyone in the family.

Adventures in the Kitchen is a fun, interactive cooking curriculum designed for youth ages 9 – 11 years (4th – 6th
grade). The curriculum consists of 6 lessons approximately 1 – 1.5 hours each.

Rudy Raccoon

A series of six cooking workshops for youths grades 3

This curriculum is a series of six hands-on nutrition lessons created by the University of Tennessee Extension.
Lessons last approximately 45 minutes. Rudy Raccoon can be
taught in a variety of settings and is often taught in
elementary schools. Extension educators provide all
materials needed to teach the class.

Power U Level 1 and 2

A series of five to ten cooking workshops for youths grades 4-5

Power U is a curriculum that contains a series of interactive lessons designed to make learning fun. It was originally developed for 4th-grade students and was revised in 2013 to include lessons for 5th grade. The lessons align with the state Common Core Competencies. The lessons focus on healthy food choices and physical activity. Note: Power U is a TNCEP and EFNEP approved curriculum but is available to all youth audiences. Other funds must be used to implement Power U if is not used with a TNCEP/EFNEP audience.
